Responsibilities
- Conducts training and development programs for employees and maintains documentation of training received
- Plans, directs, and/or coordinates the training and development activities of the assigned service site(s)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred
- One year experience delivering various training topics to various audiences
- Some supervisory experience preferred

Full-Time, hourly non-exempt, $20.00 per hour ($41,600 per year). Standard Monday-Friday schedule with some flexibility. ResCare Community Living provides support to adults with developmental & intellectual disabilities. Trainer will conduct training for all staff including DSP caregivers; CPR, First Aid, YSIS, food preparation, safety, & other related topics for all new hires & annual training. Trainer will also identify areas where more support is needed & will conduct site reviews & field training as necessary. Support to Human Resources; auditing, filing, & ensuring documentation & training meets state compliance. Associate's Degree or above strongly preferred, however, candidates with strong working knowledge & leadership/development in the field will be considered. Candidate must have strong communication skills, professional demeanor, & desire to teach & assist employees with various learning styles through different methods of instruction. Must have a positive outlook & energetic teaching style with the desire to make learning fun, interesting, & also effective. Position is based in Sheridan, Indiana.
