We are currently looking for a fashion-conscious Textile and Photography Assistant who possesses previous experience in fashion design/textiles, quality control, and/or packshot photography. Strong affinities for products and the e-commerce sector are essential for this role.
This role will be based in New York.
Starting Date: August 20-30th 2025
Position Overview
The core of this position consists of product-based quality control and packshot photography.
Working closely within the product team, the textile & photography assistant is responsible for meticulously conditioning second-hand products, and photographing a special range of fashion accessories; A vital and extremely educational position that requires a highly ambitious individual to oversee our consigned luxury products: a curated selection of chic, iconic pieces spanning ready-to-wear, couture, accessories, and leather goods.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Daily completion of quality control procedures for clothing, fashion accessories, and handbags
- Carefully examining each pre-loved ReSee piece and classifying its condition according to company standards
- Executing various repairs (sewing buttons/tears/etc) and outsourcing repairs and dry-cleaning when necessary
- Bi-weekly packshot photography of fashion accessories and handbags
- Liaising with multiple team members at our Paris headquarters for photo exports and training
- Consulting and contributing to cross-departmental Excel spreadsheets
- Assisting the Head of U.S. Sourcing with archive fashion research
- Maintaining set company objectives through excellent individual time management
Qualifications and Skills
- Candidate is enrolled in or has completed a degree in Fashion, preferably with an atelier background
- Knowledge of vintage Fashion and its cyclic presence in today’s industry
- Strong comprehension of garment construction and textiles
- Familiar with Google Drive, Microsoft Excel, CaptureOne/Photoshop appreciated
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Adaptable, hardworking, and resourceful
- Ability to work independently yet collaboratively to achieve goals
Job Details
Contract type: 6-month internship, at least 3-4 days a week.
Location: New York, New York (on-site)
