Some Key Areas of Responsibilities for the Hotel General Manager
  • Promote and market the property.
  • Manage budgets, financial plans, financial records, and statistical information.
  • Recruit, train, and coach staff.
  • Achieve profit targets.
  • Deal with guest complaints and comments.
  • Compliance with all current brand standards including regulatory and Commonwealth Hotels.
Requirements for the Hotel General Manager
  • Strong interpersonal skills and possession of a full understanding of professional business ethics, decorum, and social skills.
  • Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Detail-oriented professional.
  • Understanding of group and transient sales processes and forecasting procedures.
  • Excellent organization skills, manage time well, correctly prioritizes, and is flexible.
  • Applicants must be able to work weekends & holidays.
