We are seeking compassionate and committed individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professional in the greater Chapel Hill, NC area. You will play a key role in delivering quality care to adults with IDD in a group home setting. With flexible scheduling and competitive pay, working as a Direct Support Professional at RSI is a fulfilling and rewarding experience.

Available Shifts:

• - Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

• - Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday: 2:30 PM - 9:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM on weekend day

• - Overnight: 10 PM-8 AM, 10:30 PM-8:30 AM, or 9:30 PM-9 AM

• - Part-time: Includes weekend and varying weekday shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• - Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, and medication administration.

• - Respond to medical or behavioral needs during the day program following established procedures.

• - Foster a positive and empowering atmosphere, encouraging residents to engage in social, recreational, and skill-building activities.

• - Document observations, incidents, and interventions in resident records.

• - Work collaboratively with team members, case managers, healthcare professionals, and families to provide comprehensive care.

• - Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through light housekeeping and safety checks.

Qualifications:

• - High school diploma or equivalent

• - Experience working with individuals with IDD or in a caregiving role preferred.

• - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.

• - Calm, patient, and compassionate demeanor in challenging situations.

• - Basic understanding of medical procedures or willingness to learn and follow protocols.

• - Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
