We are passionate about wound care and are looking for a Client Liaison to join our Document Management Team. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday. Pay ranges between $19 - $22 per hour based on experience. Health benefits, 401k, paid time off and holiday pay are also offered after a probationary period.
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Serve as a front line person to manage day-to-day issues that may arise as it relates to clinical care; first line of contact for home health and specialists. No contact between specialists and clinicians.
- Triage labs and imaging; task them to the clinician accordingly.
- Send orders via Docusign
- Review wound care orders daily and check for graft photos.
- Referral and DMA follow-up
- Assist in the development of, and adherence to, new or established processes, or guidelines as set forth by the organizational leadership
- Answer phones
- Schedule established patients
- Coordinate care with clinicians and patients
- Answer questions about orders
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical concepts, practices and procedures within the field of Wound Care
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Work under direct and remote supervision
- Obtain medical records as needed or directed by the clinician
- Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records
- Assist in scheduling of ancillary services lab, x-ray, ultrasound wound therapy etc. Assist with document management in a virtual or office setting.
- Counsel patients by transmitting physician’s orders and questions about procedures, referrals, etc.
- Assist in scheduling referrals by assisting with planning, sending referrals on behalf of providers and preparing charts as needed
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
- Monitor virtual message centers for incoming reports and ensure the provider is notified, and incoming documentation is placed in the appropriate chart
- Coordinate clinical staff schedules
- Ensure compliance and achievement of company/departmental goals
- Troubleshoot and coordinate patient follow-up scheduling
- Comply with HIPAA
- Promote excellent customer service by all levels of supervised staff
- Ensure document management is up to date
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Requirements:
- MA certification preferred but not required
- Previous applicable experience a plus
