Job Description:

We are looking to expand our team and are seeking an experienced Air Permit Specialist to assist in the development and submission of air permits across multiple states. This is a full-time, in-person role based at our Longview, TX office. The ideal candidate will have the qualifications necessary to support state and federal air permitting development processes and the ability to manage multiple projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and submission of air permit applications for a variety of clients across multiple states (including but not limited to: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico).
  • Assist in strategy development for compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather data, clarify requirements, and ensure timely submission of permit applications.
  • Review and interpret air quality modeling data, emissions inventories, and permit conditions to develop accurate, compliant permit applications.
  • Track and manage the status of permit applications and renewal processes.
  • Provide support in responding to regulatory questions and addressing permitting issues that may arise.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or experience in a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in air permitting or environmental compliance, with a focus on air quality regulations and permitting processes.
  • Proficient in navigating and applying state and federal air regulations (e.g., Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), EPA, and other regional agencies).
  • Ability to develop an air permit application, complete with emissions calculations, permit conditions, and the understanding of air modeling requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with regulatory agencies and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple permit applications and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in air permitting or environmental compliance, with a focus on air quality regulations and permitting processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of state and federal air regulations (e.g., TCEQ, EPA, and other regional agencies) and permit mechanisms.
