Tennis Maintenance Worker - SEA

Purpose: Works with Tennis Maintenance Worker II fulfilling all maintenance needs related to Tennis & Pickleball Courts

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintains court surfaces – clearing leaves, debris and daily grooming of Har-Tru courts.
2. Assists in installing windscreens and nets
3. Maintains court benches and paints them as necessary.
4. Empties trash, recyclables containers and tennis ball recycling bins
5. Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies
6. Spread and level construction materials when needed
7. Operate backpack leaf blower and gas-powered golf cart
8. Maintain regular attendance.
9. Perform general labor duties when necessary
10. 40 hour work week to include Saturday hours for maintenance needed outside of daily weekday maintenance.
11. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience– High School Diploma or GED; construction experience preferred, but not required

Other Skills and Abilities– Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Other Qualifications- Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Certificate of Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Virginia is desired.

Decision-Making & Independence Exercised: Describes the level of authority and/or responsibility to make decisions, develop and revise policies & procedures, make official commitments on behalf of the Association, etc.

Must be able to work independently and assess maintenance needs in the field. Employee follows established procedures and guidelines

Tools, Equipment & Machines Used: Pick-up truck, and light construction equipment.

Contacts: Frequent contact with Association members and other visitors for the purpose of providing or exchanging information.
