Resurrection has an opening for a First Impressions Coordinating Assistant! The position is full-time, non-exempt and is located at the Leawood campus at 13720 Roe Ave. Please see below for a full job description.


Job Summary

The First Impressions Coordinating Assistant serves as the church’s first point of contact, the embodiment of hospitality, ensuring that every interaction reflects positively on the church. This role requires excellent telephone and written communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion to create a radically hospitable environment.

Position-Specific

  • Assist callers, walk-ins and those who email by being the first point of contact for the church. Answering questions, providing information, and assistance with a positive and friendly attitude. Including general inquiries that come through the website.
  • Respond to all email, voicemail and inquiries within a 24-hour period during the workweek (Monday-Friday).
  • Recruit, train, develop, and schedule hospitality volunteers who can work the information desks in each building at our Leawood location, including training them to provide coverage for this position.
  • Sort and distribute mail, including stamping all received mail with current date. Locate and retrieve packages as needed.
  • Prepare emails sent to all staff twice weekly and review, update, and post Location slides for weekday programming.
  • Aid staff and volunteers using the workroom equipment, including copy, mail and folding machines.
  • Manage Baptism registrations and update all information in registration system, including adding any family members to the church database. As needed, help with printing baptism certificates for special baptisms.
  • Assist Executive Assistant to Senior Pastor as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years of reception and/or general administrative experience.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both over the phone, written and in-person.
  • Proven Results in strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other basic computer applications.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing exceptional service.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

This position is located in a professional office setting and involves sitting at a front desk for extended periods of time. The role requires regular use of office equipment and computers. Interaction with employees and visitors is frequent and high-volume, necessitating a friendly and energetic demeanor.
