Director of Construction

RETS Associates , on behalf of our client, is searching for a Director / AVP of Construction in Los Angeles, CA, to oversee major asset repositioning, base building capital improvements, and tenant improvement projects throughout the Company’s Southern California commercial Office real estate portfolio. The position will also provide project coordination and oversight, as needed, for acquisitions due diligence and will perform other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities :

• Provide leadership and guidance to property teams across the Company’s Southern California portfolio in identifying, prioritizing, scoping, estimating, contracting, and managing construction projects.
• Manage and develop relationships with general contractors and subcontractors, and oversee contractors during construction projects.
• Lead pre-construction activities, including prequalifying subcontractors, vendors, and consultants. As well as prepare contractor RFPs, bid documents, and conduct competitive bid process.
• Lead and schedule meetings, prepare agendas and meeting minutes, develop and maintain master project schedules, and track costs against budget.
