Role Overview


We are seeking a Senior Warehouse Manager to oversee multiple warehouse locations and manage operations. In this role, you will focus on developing strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs while leading, training, and mentoring warehouse staff. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, analyzing performance metrics to drive inventory accuracy and order fulfillment, cycle counts, and collaborating with logistics and supply chain departments to align warehouse activities. You will also maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment, ensuring proper handling of equipment and materials, managing purchase orders, and overseeing shipping and receiving processes. This position will require some travel.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of warehouse management experience, proven leadership skills, and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., QB Enterprise, NetSuite, SAP) and forklift operation. Strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.


Schedule Details


The position requires full-time commitment during standard business hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. In instances of substantial project installations, there will be an imperative need for flexibility and availability to work on weekends and overtime as dictated by the project demands. 


Key Responsibilities


  • Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of multiple warehouses, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
  • Strategic Development: Create and implement strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze performance metrics to drive inventory accuracy and optimize order fulfillment processes, including conducting regular cycle counts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with logistics and supply chain departments to align warehouse activities with overall business objectives, fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Safety and Organization: Maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment by ensuring proper handling of equipment and materials, and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of purchase orders, ensuring timely processing and accurate tracking of inventory.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Supervise shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Travel Requirements: Be prepared to travel as needed to various warehouse locations.


Qualifications


  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, demonstrating a strong understanding of logistics and operations.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities with experience in training and mentoring staff.
  • ERP Proficiency: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., QB Enterprise, NetSuite, SAP) to manage inventory and track performance.
  • Forklift Operation: Experience in forklift operation, with current certification preferred.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and other departments.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-oriented attitude with a background in customer service; industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze and solve problems quickly, ensuring operational challenges are addressed promptly.
