Position Summary :
As a Cardiac Cath Lab / Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Tech youll assist in performing both direct and indirect patient care during cardiac vascular and interventional procedures. Youll work closely with physicians to ensure safe and quality care is provided to adult and geriatric patients all while demonstrating critical thinking and collaborating with healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist physicians in invasive procedures including cardiac catheterization vascular angiograms stenting pacemaker implants and other interventions.
- Document patient history including vital signs lab results current medications and patient concerns.
- Maintain and start IV access oxygen administration and perform glucometer testing.
- Provide appropriate postprocedure care and discharge instructions to patients and caregivers.
- Operate radiographic equipment to produce specialized angiographic and digital images (ARRT only).
- Administer prescribed medications (including sedation and cardiac meds) during procedures under physician supervision.
- Provide safe interventions and collaborate effectively with physicians team members and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
- Deliver patient and family education about treatments procedures and care instructions.
