What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer/Planner position at Reyco Granning Llc?
Job Summary: The Buyer / Planner reports to the Director of Supply Chain and is primarily responsible for coordinating company purchases of required inventory while managing physical and / or digital purchasing records. Buyers may also be required to purchase other goods, supplies and services. Buyers must also maintain accurate records of current and prospective suppliers’ related documents and their performance. Buyers are expected to work to remove costs where possible and/or consolidate supplier requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Place purchase order for materials as needed
- Manage proper stocking levels for your area of responsibility
- Keep management advised of any material shortages that would impact ability to meet customer orders
- Maintain accurate pricing for products in system
- Expedite material as needed
- Maintain accurate records for all purchases and related supplier documents
- Assist management as needed
Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:
- Strong analytical abilities and work well under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer and software skills
- Expediting skills
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma is required.
- Some college education preferred with emphasis in supply chain, commerce, or related field.
- Relevant business certifications a plus.
