About the Position:
We are looking for an Application Engineer that will be responsible for growing and supporting our rapidly growing advanced engineering offerings through assisting our sales engineers in identifying, demonstrating and implementing solutions involving:
• Augmented Reality
• Spatial positioning
• Robotics
• 3D and Machine Vision
• MES systems
Specific tasks will include:
• Manage and respond to customer and Sales Engineers inquiries in prompt fashion
• Customer Relations Excellence through assisting and resolving customer’s technical requests / issues in a prompt and professional manner.
• Developing and maintaining trusted relationships with colleagues.
• Programming and debugging of various software suites; including PLC’s, HMIs, Servo Drives, vision inspection systems, industrial robots and AR products.
• Implementing solutions onsite at client factories.
• Training sales engineers and client on new technologies from our suppliers
• Assisting sales and proposal management in sourcing and costing respective solution hardware and software.

• Ability to comprehend technical product data
• Mechanical aptitude
• 2-year technical degree or equivalate factory experience
• Proficiency with
o PLC’s = Allen Brandley, Rockwell, etc
o Communication networks – Ethernet TCP/IP, RS 232
o Field Bus – Ethernet IP, Device-Net, Profibus
Preferred disciplines:
• Bachelor’s Engineering degree
• Prior industrial / manufacturing factory experience
Location:
• Based out of Maple Grove office
Travel
• Up to 40% (throughout Midwest)
