Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing counseling practice. This role is the first point of contact for clients and plays a key part in creating a welcoming, supportive environment while keeping daily operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and manage check-in/check-out
- Schedule new client intakes and follow-up appointments
- Answer and direct phone calls professionally
- Call clients daily to ensure follow-up appointments are scheduled
- Assist with intake paperwork and administrative tasks
- Process client payments accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized reception and waiting area
- Protect client confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Support clinicians with scheduling and communication
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree preferred)
- Front desk, administrative, or customer service experience preferred
(Healthcare or mental health setting a plus)
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Calm, empathetic, and professional demeanor
- Experience with scheduling or practice management software a plus
- HIPAA knowledge preferred (training available)
