Job Description

Check daily operations of color sorters. Trouble shoot and diagnose faults on sorters and scales, order new parts as needed.

Job Duties

• 
  Check operation of sorters daily.

• 
  Troubleshoot & diagnose faults on the Sorters and order new parts when needed.

• 
  Keep in contact with the grader operator to make sure damage and seeds stay in spec.

• 
  Relieve all operators in the mill when they are absent or need to leave early.

• 
  Do the EPA emissions check anytime the designated operator is not available.

• 
  Do the riser checks for the water system when the designated operator is not available.

• 
  Work on Waldenburg’s Sorters & calibrate Mill L’s scales as needed.

• 
  Work on Mill J scales/ calibrate as needed.

• 
  Chane the water filters on the KB40’s.

• 
  Help maintenance when needed.

• 
  Check all fire extinguishers in Mill J.

• 
  Check E-Maints. And add new assets, checking hard plastics and greasing screw conveyors.

• 
  Take care of both metal detectors, weekly inspections, and repairs.

• 
  Work on the shellers, vta’s, vbf’s and kb40’s repairing electrical components and air problems.

• 
  Do monthly inventory when designated operator is not available.

• 
  Change light bulbs throughout Mill J.

• 
  Drive sweeper to help keep the mill clean.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED plus specialized training and/or additional college courses and two years of related experience and/or training; and a minimum of 1-6 months of experience.
