Service Advisor

SERVICE ADVISOR Standish, MI - Richardson Automotive. A Service Advisor for our growing Service Department. Richardson Ford is a family owned and operated company, we're all about service!

Applicant should have general knowledge of automotive repairs. Applicant must have a neat and clean appearance; and excel in a fast pace environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers that are in need of service
• Answer incoming phone calls, provide quotes and other information over the phone
• Prepare repair orders for technicians listing customer's vehicle concerns
• Communicate between the customers and technicians to ensure accurate information is passed between everyone
• Quote services and prices for needed repairs/maintenance for customer vehicles
• Work together with the service team to ensure all customers are taken care of
• Schedule customers for maintenance and/or vehicle repairs
• Coordinate with the parts department and/or technician to ensure proper parts are ordered for customer repairs
• Assist in organizing/keeping track of open and closed repair orders and vehicle keys
• Contact various warranty/insurance companies to provide estimates for potentially covered repairs

Job Requirements

• Preferably have at least 1 years of customer service experience, but not mandatory
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Knowledge in some aspects of automotive repair and maintenance is preferred
• A fast learner with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ensures Customer Vehicles are kept clean and treated with respect
• Must be a helpful Team Player
• Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work station
• Basic computer knowledge is proffered
