We are looking to add a caring, experienced, and proactive Paralegal to our growing legal team. This person is motivated by helping injured clients in a variety of ways and guiding them to successful resolutions of their cases. To be considered qualified, candidates should at a minimum possess the following:
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited college, university, or other institution of higher learning.
- Three (3) or more years of experience as a Paralegal in plaintiff’s personal injury or personal injury defense.
- Experience handling motor vehicle accident and premises liability cases.
- Strong technological and organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Compassionate, embraces challenges, demonstrates self-direction and team-orientation, and maintains composure under pressure.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Regular communication with clients, providing updates, and managing expectations throughout the case lifecycle.
- Independently prepare and e-file legal documents, including complaints, discovery responses/demands, motions, and subpoenas, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of case litigation and trial preparation for their team, including scheduling of client meetings, depositions, court reporters, experts, and investigators, when needed.
- Analyze medical records and prepare comprehensive demand packages.
- Assist in client lien resolution, including determination of lien amounts, negotiating with lien holders and assisting outside lien resolution partners at settlement.
