About The Director Of Activities Position
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and manage the activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with current rules and regulations.
- Develop activities in a manner that meets the needs of all residents with varying levels of cognitive abilities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the activities program.
- Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator of Personal Care and Wellness, Executive Vice President, and President/CEO concerning the activities of the community.
- Coordinate and direct the Annual Health Fair for residents and employees.
- Must possess an Activity Director Certificate and, at minimum, an associate's degree in therapeutic recreation, recreation, and leisure studies, or social work.
- Must have, at minimum, two years of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care facility.
