Ridge Crest Nursing Center is a long term and skilled nursing community nestled on the edge of Warrensburg. We are seeking someone who is excited about engaging our population in activities and can assist with social service needs.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and implement a variety of activities and programs for residents
- Develop and maintain a monthly activity calendar
- Coordinate and lead group activities, such as games, crafts, and outings
- Provide individualized attention and support to residents based on their needs and preferences
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to resident care
- Assess and document residents' participation and progress in activities
- Maintain a safe and engaging environment for residents
Skills:
- Caregiving: Ability to provide compassionate care and support to residents
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members
- Social work: Knowledge of social work principles and techniques to address the emotional needs of residents
- Recreational therapy: Familiarity with recreational therapy techniques to enhance residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being
- Memory care: Understanding of memory care principles and strategies for individuals with dementia or memory-related conditions
- Nursing home: Knowledge of the unique needs and challenges of working in a nursing home setting
- Dementia care: Ability to provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, including creating a supportive environment and implementing appropriate activities
- Schedule management: Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate activities within a schedule
- Event planning: Experience in organizing events or programs for groups of people
