Ridgecrest Animal Hospital is located within the picturesque community of Allentown, NJ. Our thriving practice is well-established with a dedicated clientele. Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Duties:
• - Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during procedures- Monitor anesthesia during surgeries- Take x-rays- Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment- Maintain accurate medical records- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
• Requirements:

- Certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, physiology, and care
- Experience in dog handling, animal restraint, and veterinary terminology
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate nature and genuine love for animals
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Education & Experience: Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred; 2 years related experience in Veterinary Medicine

Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour.

• Wednesday & Thursday 8:45am-5:00pm & Friday 8:45am-6:00pm
• Saturday 8:30am-1:00pm starting 2024

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Allentown, NJ 08501: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred).

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred).
• Veterinary or office Experience (REQUIRED)--Only QUALIFIED candidates will be considered

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (REQUIRED).
