Responsible for supervising and directing nursing care in all clinical areas of the facility according to its policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives. Coordinates and directs patient care and related activities of the facility according to accepted standards. Shares responsibility for the fiscal activities of the clinical services. Oversees patient scheduling in all clinical areas. Analyzes and evaluates nursing care to improve quality of care given. Works closely with administrative and medical staff in coordinating patient-care service functions. May assume responsibilities for administrator in his or her absence.
Responsible for the clinical environment in all areas of the facility according to its policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives. These responsibilities include: clinical staffing, ongoing refinement/development of policies and procedures, quality of care, assistance to physicians, materials and equipment management, education and development of clinical personnel, clinical risk management, facility licensing and accreditation, and all clinical administrative duties. Facilitates optimal flow of patient care and safety. Coordinates surgery scheduling with Front Desk Supervisor & Center Administrator for optimal OR time management. When appropriate, delegates duties to relevant personnel and monitors their performance. Coordinates, analyzes, and evaluates clinical activities and nursing services to improve quality of care and minimize operating costs. Works with the Administrator and clinical team leads to ensure staffing, physician preference, and resources are managed appropriately. Coordinates with Materials Management to ensure proper instrumentation and special requests are available as needed. On a quarterly basis, candidate will also be responsible for managing the Quality and Medical Executive Committee meetings in coordination with the Administrator and Medical Director. Supervises the Quality Improvement Program and is accountable for all aspects of nursing service. Reports directly to the Administrator and Medical Director of the surgery center.
Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse, maintain basic cardiac life support certification and ACLS. Must have experience in clinical supervision, Pre – Op, PACU, and operating room, ambulatory surgical center, and/or hospital supervisory experience. Candidate must have deep knowledgeable of state, regulatory, CMS, TJC and AAAHC policies, as well as experience working with large physician partnerships and corporate management companies in an ASC environment. Candidate must have a strong sense of urgency, have a positive “can-do" attitude, and promote efficient use of center resources.
Required
1. High school graduate or GED certificate recipient
2. Graduate of accredited school of nursing
3. RN with active license in New Jersey
4. BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications
5. Three years clinical management experience
6. Evidence of leadership qualities
7. Strong ethical and moral character references
8. Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication in American English
9. Computer literacy
Preferred
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing
2. ASC experience
3. CNOR Certification preferred

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
