What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Marketing Intern position at Ridgefield Academy?
Ridgefield Academy is seeking a student intern to support marketing initiatives, based out of the Ridgefield, CT campus. This is an ideal position for college-age students who are interested in photography/videography, writing, social media, and marketing analytics. While learning about the operations of an independent Preschool - Grade 8 school, the marketing intern will gain beneficial experience in the fields of marketing, admissions, fundraising, and events management. Over the course of the summer, as part of the Advancement Team, the marketing intern will have the opportunity to connect with school administrators, faculty, staff, and fellow interns.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and curate content for RA|LP Summer Programs
- Develop and manage weekly Summer Program newsletter, in collaboration with Director of Summer Programs
- Contribute to a content calendar and develop & schedule social media posts
- Assist with website copy updates
- Assist in updating admissions materials for the 2026-27 school year, aligning with key messages and brand guidelines
- Project-based work, as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Enrolled in a college program, preferably in marketing, communications, English, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite; social media, photography, and video editing skills a plus
Additional Information
This is a seasonal, part-time position located on the Ridgefield Academy campus. Hours are flexible between 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM with the expectation of 20-25 hours per week between May-July. This position reports to the Director of Advancement. Hourly rate is $18.50.
