What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audiologist position at RIDGEVIEW MEDICAL CENTER?
Purpose of the Job
This position is responsible for providing clinical assessment including diagnostic assessment, DPOAE and hearing aid support.
Job Functions
1. Obtains patient case history and documents in EMR.
2. Provides Diagnostic and audiologic testing.
3. Counsels and educates patients on diagnosis.
4. Designs and implements individual rehabilitation/treatment programs.
5. Advises and assists patients with specialized hearing protection and ear molds.
6. Provides work direction to Audiology Assistant.
7. Services or repairs hearing aids.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of hearing aid circuitry and ability to service
- Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
- Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team
- Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
- Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current MN Audiology license
Preferred Qualifications
- Balance Assessment (VNG, ENG, CDP)
