What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADON position at Ridgewood Manor?
- Experience with the management and training of the nursing services staff and the overall management of resident care.
- Demonstrate knowledge, skills and techniques necessary to care for residents with therapeutic, neuro and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, infectious disease and wound care.
- Ability to successfully complete facility-conducted orientation of specialized dementia unit.
Make rounds upon entering the building each day. Checks each nursing unit for staffing, census, unstable residents, Accidents and Incidents, etc. Ensures grooming is A-1 each day and implements plans to correct grooming concerns.
- Reviews all Accidents and Incidents (A/I) daily and develops an appropriate plan to prevent future accidents and incidents, if necessary. Conducts periodic reviews of documentation for inconsistencies of A/I on each unit.
- Ensures that nursing documentation meets standards.
- Must maintain a current, valid Ohio Stat Nursing License as a registered professional nurse, in good
standing.
- Possesses strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long term care.
