As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible to manage and lead the analysis of large/multi-project proposals, quotes and requirements for the development of thorough and accurate project cost estimates to ensure customer expectations and business goals are attained. The salary range is $125,000.00 - $180,000.00.

Responsibilities:
- Reviews customer/project outline and works with the Estimators to create an equipment, labor, material and subcontractor estimate for large/multi-project proposals, to ensure estimates are in line with customer requirements and business ROI
- Oversees the coordination of the bidding process through the various Project Management teams and business units who are contributing to a particular large or multi-project process to ensure that all aspects of projects are addressed and accurate
- Manages the creation of accurate, organized estimate proposals that includes Stipulated Price, Design-Build and Construction/Project Management for thoroughness and accuracy as it relates to the cost and delivery
- Reviews proposals with potential Customers to discuss options for proposed services and ensure full project objectives are met. Prepares and sends final proposal to client for approval
- Provides project proposal, process details, subcontractor information, etc. to the Project Management team for complete understanding and effective execution
- Oversees and manages the creation of accurate budgets from conceptual and schematic design phases through to final estimates for consistent adherence to the organization’s goals and strategies
- Manages and mentors the team on any obstacles, option changes, and concerns of the Site Management team and the project management team, providing them with pertinent documentation and updates as applicable, for continued project success
- Oversees and manages ongoing project and cost changes, unit pricing and job tracking (including database maintenance) to ensure projects stay in line with the current or updated proposal
- Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with subcontractors, internal teams and field personnel, along with customers for current and future project success
- Reviews and develops standardized processes for the estimating areas within the various business unites to ensure best-practice and effective project results
Education, Skills, Experience Needed:
- Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in utility construction, specifically in transmission, distribution, substations, and civil/sitework
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent; related industry experience may substitute
- Proficient in Heavy Bid estimating software is required
- Strong experience with quantity take offs, labor and material cost analysis, procurement pricing, and subcontract bidding
- Proven ability to review RFPs, plans, specifications, attend site visits, and translate into competitive estimates
- Familiarity with Excel, Word, Primavera/MS Project, Bluebeam, HCSS heavy civil tools
- Ability to lead and mentor junior estimators; experience producing complete bid packages and overseeing proposal reviews
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with clients, operations, subcontractors, and internal departments
- Highly detail oriented, analytical, and organized with the ability to manage tight deadlines
- Have an understanding of construction methods, industry codes, safety standards, and union labor agreements
