Position Overview
The Landscape Maintenance Crew Member performs various tasks assigned by the Team Leader. The Landscape Maintenance Crew Member engages in the following activities with supervision from the Team Leader:
- Lawn maintenance (mowing, trimming, edging, etc.)
- Weeding
- Pruning
- Plant installation and care
- Material movement.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for the proper use of tools & equipment
- Responsible for exercising safe work practices
- Performs tasks as directed by Team Lead
- Effectively communicates with Team Lead
- Embodies core values
Experience and Qualifications
- A high school degree or GED is preferred but not required.
- One year of experience is preferred but not required.
- Candidate must be able to read and write.
- Some knowledge of installation and maintenance practices, including pruning, weed control, lawn maintenance, plant installation, hardscape installation, etc., is preferred but not required.
- Reliable transportation to shop and assigned jobsite, if applicable.
- Submit to a drug test and background check.
Certifications
This position requires that the individual become certified within one year of employment as follows:
- Ohio Nursery & Landscaping Association Certification (OCNT); or NALP Landscape Industry Certified
- Ohio Driver's License and insurable with the company's agent.
- First aid / cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
