What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Technician position at Ripon Athletic?
Ripon athletic is seeking a full-time maintenance technician on first shift with overtime as needed. Candidate(s) must be able to manage multiple projects with limited supervision. Job requires physical stamina, lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis, and ability to work at various heights.
Major Duties:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and production machines.
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring, and testing instruments.
- Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Keep precise records of work carried out, materials utilized, etc.
Minor Duties:
- Clean and service the work facility including lunch/break rooms, office spaces, and restrooms.
- Maintain the clean appearance of parking lots and walkways.
- Lawn care and snow removal responsibilities.
On-the-job Training:
- Learn to prepare, install, and service industrial sewing machines, including embroidery machines.
- Learn to service and maintain manual, and automated, fabric cutting equipment.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- A working knowledge of maintenance procedures and interpretation of written and oral directions, including blueprints, construction, plans, drawings, and assembly instructions'
