Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications following healthcare professionals' instructions
- Monitor and document vital signs accurately
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings
- Aid in meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Respect and protect client rights and confidentiality
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in caregiving, preferably in assisted living or nursing home environments
- Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy
- Proficiency in taking vital signs accurately
- Training in childcare, first aid, and CPR is desirable
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of preserving dignity
