Title: SAP PP Consultant – Planning Integration with OPMLocation: Initial Remote but the resource should be ready to relocate to Baton Rouge, LA within one month upon asked to relocate.Experience: 12 YearsDuration: 12 monthsRole SummaryWe are looking for an experienced SAP PP Consultant with strong expertise in Planning integration with SAP OPM (Operational Planning & Manufacturing). The role involves designing, configuring, and supporting end-to-end production planning processes, ensuring seamless integration between PP, OPM, and related SAP modules to support manufacturing and supply chain operations.Key Responsibilities· Design, configure, and support SAP PP (Production Planning) processes including:o Demand Managemento MRPo Capacity Planningo Production Orders / Process Orders· Lead and support integration of SAP PP with SAP OPM, ensuring accurate and efficient planning-to-execution flow.· Configure and optimize planning scenarios, master data, and planning strategies aligned with business requirements.· Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.· Integrate PP & OPM with related modules such as:o MM (Materials Management)o QM (Quality Management)o SD (Sales & Distribution)o WM/EWM (Warehouse Management), where applicable· Support process manufacturing and discrete manufacturing planning use cases.· Troubleshoot planning, MRP, and execution issues; provide root cause analysis and permanent fixes.· Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and coordinate with technical teams.· Support UAT, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities.· Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and end-user training.Required Skills & Experience· 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP.· Strong expertise in Planning Integration with SAP OPM.· In-depth understanding of:o MRP types & planning strategieso Demand planning and capacity planningo Process orders vs production orders· Experience working in process manufacturing environments (preferred).· Strong knowledge of SAP master data (BOMs, routings/recipes, work centers/resources).· Experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.· Ability to work independently and lead solution design discussions.· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Good to Have· Experience with SAP APO / IBP integration.· Exposure to PP-DS in S/4HANA.· Prior experience in large-scale transformation or rollout projects.· Knowledge of regulatory or compliance-driven manufacturing environments.Education· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.· SAP PP certification is a plus.
