Responsibilities:
- Categorizing transactions in Quickbooks online from bank accounts, credit cards, and other sources.
- Reconcile accounts
- Review financial reports
- Prepare financial reports monthly and yearly
- Correct transactions and liabilities when needed
- Generate trust transfer amounts and report to appropriate staff
- Make deductions from client's trust accounts in the case management software and record the deduction in Quickbooks
- Record payments received in the bank to Quickbooks
- Quarterly listing vendors who may require a 1099
- Record interest for any loans held during the year
- Prepare AdHoc reports as needed
- Meet and notate all deadlines
- Provide guidance to the billing specialist for proper billing procedures
Skills:
- Experience in trust accounting or legal billing preferred, but not mandatory
- English and Spanish preferred
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Must be able to work well with a team
- Must provide excellent customer service
- Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
