Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes child welfare.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as needed.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, including those with special educational needs.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; certification in Elementary or Middle Grade Education is preferred.
- Experience working with children in daycare or educational settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of literacy education strategies and special education practices.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan engaging lessons effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with students, parents, and staff.
- A commitment to child welfare and the ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
- A commitment to Christian values and modeling a Christian life is required.
- Previous experience in private school settings is a plus.
