Job Description
River City Personnel is hiring Manufacturing Specialists, overtime may be required. The Manufacturing Specialist is a full time hours that performs a variety of basic duties within a manufacturing facility. Duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning, cutting, prepping or baking products as well as assembling, packaging and/or shipping finished product. May involve working in a cold environment for some departments. Variety of shifts available early morning to afternoon to overnight shifts. 6am, 7am, 2pm and 10pm shifts available.
Essential Duties:
- Depending on the department assigned assembles, sorts, raw, intermediate or finished products in preparation for baking or the packaging of products sold at retail grocery stores.
- Based on the department assigned, may operate equipment used for preparation, baking, and/or transitioning of products. May also operate equipment or chemicals used in the cleaning and sanitation of equipment/tools. Inspects and labels product as necessary or required
- Notifies supervisor immediately of all safety, quality, food safety and product issues.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Assists in ensuring that product is produced in accordance to all safety standards.
Successful candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required;
- Six to twelve (6-12) months of food service or food manufacturing experience preferred.
