Position Summary
The River Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and highly organized professional to lead the planning and execution of our signature events and member engagement programs. This position plays a critical role in maintaining strong relationships with our members and ensuring the success of our community and chamber-focused events.
The Events & Member Engagement Manager will oversee the coordination of key chamber events such as River Falls Days, Bluegrass Festival, Bacon Bash, and River Dazzle, as well as ongoing chamber programming including training and educational sessions, and Chamber coffee and Business Unwind events. This role requires a motivated self-starter with excellent communication and project management skills who can work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
Event Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the Chamber’s annual signature events including but not limited to:
- River Falls Days
- Bluegrass Festival
- Bacon Bash
- River Dazzle
- Organize and manage logistics for ongoing chamber programs and events including:
- Educational workshops and trainings (Workforce Summit, Leadership River Falls)
- Chamber Coffee and Business Unwind events
- Other member-focused programs (Banquet, Golf) with support from team
- Work with vendors, sponsors, city officials, and volunteers to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Prepare and manage event budgets and timelines.
- Create post-event reports, evaluations, and recommendations for improvement.
Member Engagement
- Serve as one of the primary contacts for chamber members.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with members through active communication and presence at events.
- Support member retention and growth strategies through programming and personal outreach.
· Oversee committee work of volunteers
Administrative & Collaborative Support
- Collaborate with the CEO to provide quality events that enhance and elevate chamber members and provide for the community.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to promote events, create items/signage, and programs.
- Coordinate volunteer committees related to events and programs and identify lead volunteers.
- Provide general office support and contribute to a team-oriented, positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of event coordination or related experience (Chamber or nonprofit experience a plus).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, dedicated team.
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends in support of events.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with event or CRM software and survey platforms is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 pounds. Ample physical activity during signature events.
- ServSafe certification will be required upon hiring.
- Ability to cross train for social media and marketing as needed

Benefits:
· Salary: $60,000 (Exempt)
· Paid time off: 160 hours (20 days)
· Other time off: Christmas break – 12/22/2025 – January 1, 2026, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July,
Labor Day Thanksgiving Day
· Simple IRA: 3% match (eligible after 90 days)
