What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at River Oaks Country Club?
River Oaks Country Club is looking for a Barback to assist our beverage team in the operations of the Clubhouse. This is an AM and PM shift job. The ability to work weekends and holidays is critical.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Fills and delivers requisition orders for all the bars daily.
- Restocks beverage walk-in refrigerator as needed with fresh fruits, juices and other supplies.
- Receives product within the policies and practices set by the Club Prepares all bars for banquets: Cuts fruit, Prepares juices for mixes , Sets up portable bars if needed, Makes sure glassware is ready and available for use, Advises Beverage or Bar Manager of any shortages.
- Assists banquet bartenders during functions by keeping bar stocked.
- Assists with general clean‑up and returns supplies to proper areas.
- May assist bartenders at dining room bars with general operation of bar.
- Mix, prepare and serve drinks according to the recipes approved by the Beverage Manager.
- Assists with monthly inventories.
- Serves as a liaison between the FOH and beverage storeroom.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience as a server assistant or barback in an up-scale restaurant, hotel or private club.
- Preferred TABC Certified and Food Handlers.
- Ability to push, pull or lift at least 50 lbs.
