Description
Job Summary:
The Crisis Line Specialist is responsible for assisting clients in accessing services, as well as those in crisis in the most efficient and effective manner through the Access and Assessment Center.
Essential Functions:
- Assists individuals in accessing services through the use of established protocols: - Responds appropriately and timely to communication (phone, text, E-mail, etc.) from or for individuals in crisis. - Schedules appointments for individuals. - Performs clinical triage assessments. - Appropriately responds to calls from internal and external referral sources. Clinical Intake: - Part 1: Obtains thorough and accurate clinical intake information for determining level of care. - Part 2: Schedules or refers individuals to appropriate practitioner and/or program.
- Maintains and compiles statistical and outcome data for various programs and services.
- Assists UR Department with administrative tasks.
- Maintains a professional demeanor with clients by treating them with dignity and respect. Maintains client confidentiality within appropriate clinical parameters.
- Actively participates in the multi-disciplinary team environment of the Access and Assessment center including attending required staff meetings.
- Completes in-service trainings and corporate trainings in a timely manner.
- Fosters collaborative working relationships among members of the leadership and management teams and programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral health field preferred
