Description
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Therapeutic Community Support Professional is responsible for providing therapeutic family support, therapeutic independent living transition supports, behavior management skills training, in-home support, and mentoring. Therapeutic Community Support Services are an extension of Outpatient Services. Performance Standards will be met by engaging clients in activities in the home environment and community setting.
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of family, individual and group dynamics.
- Demonstrates skills in consultation and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrates skill in assessment of child, adult and family needs.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver's license and ability to provide safe and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience (at least one of the following):
- Bachelor’s degree that includes at least one 3-hour developmental psychology or behavioral health intervention course and one year of direct care experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of work experience that includes 60 hours of documented workplace training in developmental psychology or behavioral health interventions.
- A master’s degree from an accredited academic institution in a human services related field.
