What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at RiverMead?
Base pay starting at $16.94 per hour.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Cook to join our Culinary Services team. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing ingredients and supporting the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality dishes to our customers. This position requires strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Position hours would be 10:00AM-6:30PM working every other weekend.
We have a $1.50 per hour weekend differential that runs from Friday at 5:00PM through Sunday at midnight.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepares cold entrees, appetizers, salads and desserts, following preparation sheets and provided recipes for dining venues, health care center and special functions. Includes accompaniments and garnishes as appropriate. Gives special attention to eye-appeal/presentation.
- Performs food preparation using proper food handling techniques. Utilizes techniques which comply with safety and sanitation rules and practices. Completes required food temperature checks. Tastes all food items prepared.
- Completes preparation records and stores food items properly at close of meal service.
- Cleans work area and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of six months server training and/or food service experience required; actual cooking experience preferred.
- Must be self-directed and dependable.
- Must be a team player with a can do attitude!
