The Risk Manager reviews and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements. Recommends and implements risk management solutions such as insurance, safety and security policies, business continuity plans, or recovery measures. Duties/ResponsibilitiesReviews and assists in the investigation of Guest and Team Member incidents.Communicates timely and professionally with Guests and Team Members related to claims.Complimentary privileges within prescribed limits in accordance with the approved Comp Matrix.Acts as a liaison between Rivers Casino Portsmouth and the company’s third-party administrator.Forwarding claims in accordance with existing agreement.Maintains all required OSHA record keeping relating to Workers Compensation injuries/illnesses.Maintains claim files on all Property and Casualty claims.Maintains sound safety procedures and assist Rivers Casino Portsmouth in areas such as Guest and Team Member accident prevention.Keep abreast of other department policies and procedures as they relate to safety.Maintain a current, working knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, County, OSHA / safety laws and standards.Develops and maintains the Written Workplace Safety Program ensuring compliance with all OSHA standards and regulations.Leads the property Safety Committee and coordinates the meetings and department representation.Develops and facilitates the company safety orientation for all new hires as well as ongoing training programs as needed.Conducts regular audits of all outstanding workers compensation claims and follows up to ensure the claims are properly administered.Reviews and ensures accuracy of invoices and other documentation from the third-party administrator and/or insurance companies related to Rivers Casino Portsmouth’s business.All other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesN/AReports To: VP Hospitality
