River’s Edge is a public 18-hole course centrally located within the city limits of Bend, Oregon. The course is owned by the homeowners surrounding the course and is operated as an Oregon non-profit organization governed by a board of directors. With every dollar earned returning to the golf course for improvements and growth, the vision is to continually invest in River’s Edge to realize its full potential.
As Bend’s best-known public golf course, it is a challenging track with some of the most dramatic views in Central Oregon. In 2022, the first year of homeowner ownership of the course, we made significant upgrades and earth-moving improvements to the course and its facilities. We also invested in new carts, new mowing equipment, a new beverage cart, geo-fencing, and an upgraded POS/GMS.
We are seeking a General Manager who will love our course as much as we do and help us grow. They will be responsible for the overall operations of River’s Edge, focusing on revenue growth, expansion of our pro shop and food and beverage operation, and promotion of our Toptracer range. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage and lead daily operations of the Golf Shop, The Edge Bar & Grill, Guest Services, and the Toptracer Driving Range.
· Tee Sheet / Reservation/ Golf Management System experience required.
· Conducts staff meetings with all staff to ensure adherence to facility goals, objectives, and standards.
· Manages the execution of tournaments, lessons, clinics, and other outings.
· Works with the Superintendent in the daily management of play for optimal flow on the golf course, including leading the outside staff.
· Acquires and maintains inventory levels and oversees Pro Shop presentation.
· Coordinates menu selection and monitors food & beverage control and COS.
· Audits all inventories to assess control reliability.
· Prepares and monitors quarterly revenue goals and expenses as well as generating various (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) business volume reports and updating forecasts.
· Monitors all financial reports/statements on a monthly basis and recommends effective corrective action in cases of any negative budget variance.
· Conducts interviews, hires, trains, assigns and directs work at all levels of clubhouse activities.
· Addresses complaints and resolves problems, enlisting the support of the superintendent and board of directors.
· Organizes compilation of all necessary data required to prepare annual budgets, as well as the comprehensive annual business plan. Serves as budget manager and as the point-person for timely and accurate completion of annual budgets for club operations.
Key Qualifications
· 3 years of current operations experience in the golf industry
· Proven Leadership in driving player engagement and motivating teams toward hospitality and guest satisfaction
· Experienced in training, scheduling, and supervising employees
· Strong interpersonal and people skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent pace and energy, self-motivated
· Ability to maintain and project professionalism, internally and externally, at all times
· Flexible in approach; can readily adapt to business and team needs and changes

Pay: $72,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
