Job Description: EVS Floor Technician

Location: Austell, GA, 30168

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on terrazzo floors, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing to ensure a clean and polished appearance.
• Identify and address any stains, scratches, or damages on terrazzo floors promptly and effectively using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Apply sealants, waxes, and other protective coatings to maintain the longevity and shine of terrazzo floors.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to coordinate deep cleaning and restoration projects for terrazzo floors as needed.

• Conduct regular vacuuming, spot cleaning, and stain removal on carpets throughout the facility.
• Utilize carpet cleaning equipment, such as steam cleaners or extractors, to deep clean and revitalize carpets as required.
• Monitor and report any damages or necessary repairs to the Facilities Manager to ensure timely resolutions.
• Assist in coordinating professional carpet cleaning services when necessary.

• Implement proper cleaning methods, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to maintain the cleanliness of hardwood floors.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify scratches, scuffs, or wear on hardwood floors and take appropriate action to address them.
• Apply refinishing products, including varnishes and polishes, to restore and enhance the appearance of hardwood floors.
• Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to develop a maintenance schedule for deep cleaning, buffing, and recoating hardwood floors.

• Support the Facilities team in general maintenance tasks, including but not limited to waste management, restroom cleaning, and light fixtures maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, promptly reporting any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in floor maintenance, preferably in a large facility or similar environment.
• Knowledge of different floor types, including terrazzo, carpet, and hardwood, and the appropriate cleaning and maintenance techniques for each.
• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of floor care equipment, such as buffing machines, steam cleaners, and extractors.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and address floor damages effectively.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
