Overview
The Administrator of Assisted Living is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all departments within the Assisted Living/Memory Care. The Administrator will manage the overall operations of the community in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Riverside Senior Life Communities standards and practices. The role ensures the community operates in a sound financial position, and at all times a strong emphasis is placed on quality standards. Additionally, the Administrator will create a partnership and allegiance with the local community to local needs are met. The Administrator will lead the management team in support of the mission and values of the organization consistent with the goals and vision of Riverside Healthcare and Riverside Senior Life Communities.

Essential Duties
- Ensures the delivery of quality care and services and promotes positive resident and family relations, responding promptly and appropriately to resident needs, requests and concerns.
- Encourages resident interaction and promotes a culture where each resident is of the greatest importance.
- Ensure positive resident, family, and employee relations by responding promptly and appropriately to their needs, requests, concerns, and suggestions.
- Actively manages and leads the community, including recruiting and retention, performance management, scheduling, employee development, employee competency, coaching, and feedback.
- Supports and monitors marketing and sales activities including public relations efforts, prospective resident follow-up, and direct sales monitoring to ensure positive occupancy percentages.
- Assists as needed in the coordination of move-in with respective residents.
- Periodically reviews each resident’s status and ability to perform under the terms and conditions of the Residency Agreement.
- Supports and monitors the healthcare related programs and services (i.e. medications, bathing, staff development, charting) and ensures that all applicable state-mandated rules and regulations are carefully adhered to.
- Maintain confidential (HIPAA compliant), accurate, and appropriate records for each resident, prospective resident and employee.
- Implement a quality assurance program that evaluates each department’s performance on an on-going basis.
- Ensure activities programs will enrich the resident’s social and physical needs as well as increase their community involvement and engagement.
- Routinely monitor the kitchen sanitation, meal quality, quality and appearance of service and staff, cleanliness of resident apartments, and resident satisfaction.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of alarm panel and emergency procedures.
- Provides a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Complies with all state and federal laws and regulations and all company rules and regulations regarding the care of the residents and operation of the community.
- Develops a positive rapport with all state regulatory representatives.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of all daily, weekly, and monthly billings, and accounting and bookkeeping requirements, including month-end reports.
- Operates the community in a manner which will ensure company profitability by meeting budget and census targets.
- Plan and develop the operating budget, capital projects and expenditures budget according to company budgeting processes and guidelines.
- Regularly monitor financial performance, review productivity reports, analyze financial reports in a timely manner and take corrective action when necessary.
- Train team leads in cost control and financial management techniques and methods.
- Oversee and approve payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Supports the Executive Director across all campuses as needed and serves as leadership in their absence as appropriate and delegated.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to ensure business continuity.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years leadership experience in a senior care community or related business
- Associates degree required.
- Bachelor’s Degree
