Position: Housekeeper FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Property Manager General Purpose
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of property models, vacant units, and common areas of the property. This position is also responsible for cleaning resident apartments upon request.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleans vacant apartments after move-outs to ensure units are in move-in condition.
- Notifies maintenance team of any maintenance issues requiring attention.
- Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Responsible for daily cleaning, which includes, disinfecting, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning windows, picking up trash on the property and common areas (i.e., workout areas, laundry facilities, leasing office, elevators, club house, guest suites, pool facilities, furniture, and public restrooms).
- Ensures work areas are neat and orderly after painting or when work orders have been completed.
- Ensures supplies are in stock and orders them when directed to do so.
- Assists office staff as needed with posting notices on resident doors.
- Communicates with supervisor regarding the status of work and issues that arise.
- Prepare complimentary services such as snacks and drinks.
- Examines buildings and grounds to maintain safety and cleanliness, and alerts Maintenance to items that need to be repaired.
- Follow safety and comply with all regulations for cleaning solutions and other chemicals.
- Maintains compliance with company’s policies and procedures and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Ensures excellent customer service to prospect and tenants and promotes a quality living experience for all residents.
- Participates in Company-provided training such as fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention.
- Complies with all Kalos Residential standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Attendance is imperative and this position will be required to maintain onsite hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.
- Must comply with all safety regulations, including the use of back brace, safety goggles and gloves when appropriate.
- Overtime may be required for this position. May be required to work weekends and non-traditional holidays.
- Must be reachable via phone or radio, except during approved time off
- May be required to be available to work when needed due to staffing shortages.
- Some travel may be required.
