Summary:
As a Bar prep, his/her duties will consist of following the direction of the Lead Bartender to execute bar program recipes and assist bartenders in daily prep.
The Bar Prep is responsible for supporting the bar department and bar team in advance of the shift. This role involves bar setup, prep & stocking, batching cocktails, preparing juices and garnishes, organizing, maintaining overall cleanliness, and ensuring the efficiency of the bar and surrounding areas
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Answer, report, and follow management instructions
- Cleanliness of prep area. Ensure that all proper sanitation practices are enforced when talking care of the area.
- Maintaining pars of bar garnishes, juices, cocktail batches, syrups, etc.
- Restock all inventory: liquor, wine, juices, glassware, etc.
- · Setting up bar with appropriate mise en place
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 1 years experience in restaurants
Other Skills and Knowledge:
- Proven restaurant experience, including but not limited to experience as a prep cook, barback, bartender, or server.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Familiar with basic bar terms and ingredients
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Strong verbal communication skills
Physical Demands And Work Environment:
- Be able to stand, twist, knee and move around for the entirely od a schedule shift
- Be able ton lift up to 50lb
- Be comfortable frequently using hands and wrists
