Certified Medical AssistantJoin RKM and make a difference in the community by providing primary care in an ambulatory health setting as part of a primary care team. Since 1999, our mission is to provide open access to quality patient centered healthcare in the communities in which we live. RKM Primary Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 11 clinics in 5 parishes.Direct Patient care: This position delivers primary care in an ambulatory heath setting, as part of a primary care team.Verify patient information, obtain vitals & document in EMR.Interact with patient to obtain medical history & document in EMR.Ensure all reports/labs are available.Maintain specimens as ordered by the Provider.Perform EKGs as ordered by the Provider.Maintain exam rooms and equipment.Record keeping.Perform control checks for lab equipment.Admin duties as directed – process phone messages/scanning.Assist with team coverage through the organization as needed/requested.Qualifications/Skills:Current Medical Assistant Certification (Required).Current Basic Life Support (Required).Prefer experience in ambulatory care setting, preferred.Company Benefits:Health, dental and vision insurance with voluntary supplemental policies.
