Maintenance Technician

RLJ Management Co., Inc. is an Ohio corporation headquartered in Columbus Ohio and has been in operation since 1984. Since that time, RLJ has primarily specialized in the management of apartment properties that offer affordable housing programs, most of which fall under the auspices of Federal and local housing authorities, and which are financed, subsidized, and/or insured with varying forms of government assistance. A significant portion of the portfolio has been developed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits. Currently, RLJ manages 235 properties containing 9,500 units.

RLJ Management Co., Inc. is looking for a General Maintenance Technician to work at two apartment communities in the Cross Lanes/Poca areas. We are looking for world class representatives of our brand and deliver first class results to our clients. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Essential Qualifications:

Have General Maintenance and construction experience.
Must have own tools.
Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Must be able to work as a team and alone.
Examples: repair leaks in rentals (plumbing), electrical, dry wall, painting, and basic handy man job.
Ensure that the property is serviced and maintenance as per work requires.
Follow all Maintenance schedules established by the Property Manager.
Maintenance of all property as scheduled.
Familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals and cleaning supplies that you may use
Attend training classes
Ensure that equipment, work and supply carts are properly cleaned and stored.
Any other tasks, assignments, projects or requests as deemed by management.
Have drivers license and transportation
Tech will be responsible for the company standards by maintenance of units, reporting, maintaining time efficiency with assignments, and taking inventory of unit assets.

Minimum qualifications:

Basic tech app skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to interact with co-workers professionally
Reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications:
Previous condo/hotel/apartment Maintenance experience preferred but not required
Previous experience in Maintenance or the hospitality industry.
Hours will vary depending on business needs,
Must be able to work on-call weekends & holidays.
Pay bi-weekly

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
