What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at RLN Affiliated Companies?
Purpose of role
This is a warehouse position responsible for any combination of the following tasks: to receive, store, and distribute materials and products within our warehouse establishment.
Responsibilities

- Pick merchandise from the distribution bays and transport it to the shipping bay
- Receive merchandise for return or delivery and verify its contents
- Records amounts of materials or items received and distributed
- Count and stock merchandise based on inventory control log
- Fills work orders, or requests for materials and distributes items from stock and places orders on pallets in preparation for shipment
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas by hand
- Marks materials with identifying information, using stencil, crayon, or other marking device
- Opens crates and other containers using hand-tools
- Identify damaged, lost or missing merchandise and notify supervisor immediately
- Pack orders in an orderly manner and close cartons so they are prepared for shipping
- Treat merchandise with care and concern at all times
- Train and support new employees as they are onboarded
- Scan all containers to determine appropriate contents as well as end destination
