Position Summary:
RMD Group is searching for an energetic and highly motivated Marketing Coordinator to work closely with the Marketing Manager & Director of Marketing. You will play an important role in supporting our department, allowing us to continue to meet the needs of our venues & focus on driving revenue. You’ll contribute to the execution of marketing strategies for multiple restaurant concepts, RMD Group, and RMD Group Events. 
Type: Hourly, Part-time
Pay scale: $20.00-$26.00/hr
 
Position Type:
This role is currently listed as a part-time position with future full-time potential based on business needs & individual availability.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Creation
  • Create original & engaging content – Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, photos for social media, etc.
  • Capture social media marketing content in the venues & at select offsite events

Copywriting
  • Write and edit marketing messaging for various channels including email, social, website, print advertising and collateral while maintaining the proper brand voice.
Customer Review Sites & Directories
  • Manage online directories and update with new call to action buttons, information, and photos.
  • Weekly audits and updates for TripAdvisor, Yelp, Apple Maps, Google My Business, etc.
Email Marketing
  • Execute email campaigns as directed by Marketing Manager
  • Maintain & update subscriber database.
  • Support the Marketing Manager in pulling campaign analytics monthly.
Influencer Program
  • Works with Marketing Manager to identify potential influencer collaborations.
  • Coordinate influencer hostings at venues.
  • Update influencer database.
  • Analytical reporting of collaboration metrics
Market Analysis
  • Undertake continuous analysis of market competition.
  • Stay up to date on new technology, trends, and best practices.

Project Management
  • Efficiently manage marketing projects with diligent follow up at the venue and corporate level to ensure projects get done within the deadline.
  • Manage and facilitate marketing tasks within Basecamp for new promotions, special events, or marketing campaigns.
  • Facilitate content and assets to internal team and outside partners.
  • Provide various marketing admin needs.
Promotions
  • Contribute to brainstorming & planning sessions regarding promotions, events, and campaigns that drive incremental revenue and/or heavy brand awareness.
  • Assist in managing implementation & ongoing success of all marketing promotions.
  • Support Marketing Manager in gathering data for reporting

Public Relations
  • Support the Director of Marketing & Marketing Manager’s public relations initiatives

Social Media
  • Responsible for overall social media management – Platforms currently include (but are not limited to) Instagram & Facebook
  • Responsible for answering guest DMs and comments across social platforms.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager in managing an ongoing content calendar.
  • Manage social community and deploy growth tactics to continually expand social reach.
  • Research competitors & stay up to date on social trends, platform changes and new tools.
WordPress Websites
  • Help implement SEO strategy across all RMD websites
What We’re Looking For:
  • You must be local to San Diego. Some work will require to physically be present at the venues & occasional content creation/marketing support will take place on nights or weekends.
  • Since this is currently a part-time role, we understand you have other commitments. We ask that you’re able to commit to a recurring weekly schedule so that we can assign tasks, schedule meetings, etc. You will report in person & co-work with the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred. If you’re currently enrolled in college level marketing classes and excited about this opportunity, we encourage you to still apply.  
  • Preferred 1-3 years of Marketing experience. Restaurant experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proofreading & copywriting experience.
  • Detail oriented. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Someone who knows how to manage their time & meet deadlines. Someone who takes initiative & comes up with solutions to keep a project on track when issues arise – before the deadline.
  • Knowledge of digital media platforms and their native analytic dashboards & reporting tools.
  • Ability to work productively, both independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) and Asana.
