The Copywriter’s focus is driving revenue and engagement through attention-grabbing content, persuasive calls-to-action, expert product knowledge, and SEO. Turning creative direction into copy concepts representing the brand is critical to the success of this role.

What you will get to do as a Copywriter with Road Runner Sports:
- Work closely with the Head of Copy and Content, project managers, and team members to strategize marketing communication.
- Write personalized and segmented messaging for email, print, retail, and web content to create relevant, value-added, customer experiences to increase engagement, conversion, and value for our VIP loyalty programs.
- Review and edit social media content and make recommendations for continuous improvement to messaging and process.
- Collaborate and brainstorm with the blog content team to update existing blog content and write new stories.
- Uphold a consistent brand voice across web, email, retail, social media, and grassroots marketing, continually sharing insights with team members.
- Bring new messaging ideas and innovative copy approaches to the customer experience driving growth and engagement.
- Produce high-quality, error-free content ensuring it meets the standards of Road Runner Sports brand guidelines.
- Provide continuous development and commitment to our communication vision and shared values.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, or Journalism/Technical Communications.
- 4 years of experience in omnichannel marketing copywriting.
- Expert with Asana project management tool and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact, influence and align with all levels of the organization, both internal and external.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, typically with short deadlines.
- Remain up to date with current running/fitness culture and trends.
- Experience writing different content for different audiences as part of a robust segmentation strategy.
