What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tow Truck Operator position at Road Runner Towing and Storage?
Responsibilities:
- Operate a tow truck to safely transport vehicles to designated locations
- Perform basic automotive diagnostics and repairs as needed
- Load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck using proper equipment and techniques
- Provide excellent customer service and conflict management skills when interacting with customers
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while on the job
- Maintain accurate records of each tow, including vehicle information and destination
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform basic automotive repairs
- Familiarity with flatbed and manual transmission tow trucks
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
