What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Registrar position at Roanoke College?
Roanoke College invites applications for the position of Assistant Registrar. The successful candidate needs strong computer skills and should have experience reporting from databases and maintaining accurate data. We seek an individual who enjoys learning new systems and applications. The Assistant Registrar must be able to work collaboratively with faculty and staff from all divisions of the college. This individual should demonstrate a focus on student success and actively support our welcoming and inclusive community that values all members including those from historically under-represented groups. We seek an individual who possesses creative problem-solving and strong interpersonal skills. Experience with technology for higher education is a plus.
The Office of the Registrar is responsible for secure maintenance of student academic records and compliance with FERPA and other federal and state regulations related to these records. In addition, the office manages instructional spaces, the academic calendar, the catalog, student course registration, end-of-term processing, transcript production, transfer course evaluation, degree audits, and conferral of academic degrees. The Assistant Registrar reports to the head Registrar and works in an office with two paraprofessionals, and several student assistants.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree. Experience with data bases and data reporting. Experience with Ellucian Colleague and Entrinsik Informer is a plus.
